Synopsis

The story of With This Ring begins; introducing the self-insert character Paul who suddenly finds himself in the Universe of Young Justice. Without knowledge of the specific setting but aware of comic book lore; Paul seeks to survive his first week in a comic-book world.

In a different world where the SI had a bad day before he came to Earth 16 with a more Renegade attitude. Like Paul, his actions reverberate throughout the story.

Trivia

Episode Name

The original names for episodes 1 and 2 were "Independence Day" and "Fireworks" respectively. The name of this episode references multiple things:

  • OL is dependent on someone's good will (In this case Wonder Woman and Green Lantern Alan Scott) and is not independent.
  • OL is a Brit and not a American and would not celebrate "Those rebellious colonies'" independence.
