He then spends multiple hours near the New York public library using his ring to find information on superhumans and divergences from his home Earth. During this time he verifies the secret identities of the Justice League and many other prominent superhumans against his memories. {{Part|http://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-10#post-11722572|6}}

However since the oath must be made in a temple of Gaia, the SI and Wonder Woman must fly to Themyscira{{Part|https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-25#post-11835863|10}} and so to conserve ring power they take Wonder Woman's invisible jet{{Part|https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-28#post-11855806|11}}. While in transit on Wonder Woman's jet before reaching the island, they receive word of a group of Harpies holding a passenger boat hostage.{{Part|https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-30#post-11879570|12}} After diffusing the situation,{{Part|https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-34#post-11890901|13}} the SI travels to Themyscira and take his oath in a temple of Gaia.  The ambient magic causes him to become intoxicated due to his lack of magic resistance from not having a soul (although this is mere speculation at the time).

The Paragon SI then acquires a gun and shooting lessons, starts removing plastic from the oceans, and does flying practice with Wonder Woman.  Later, the SI is introduced to the Team, where Batman is declared as the other individual whose orders the SI must follow.

=== Renegade Divergences ===

As this is the beginning of the fiction there is little divergence from the paragon version, however you do get to see some minor differences in values and beliefs.{{Part|http://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-34#post-11891093|13-R}}

It is currently unknown which renegade options if any are actually cannon. {{Part|http://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-51#post-12020557|26-R-a}}{{Part|http://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/with-this-ring-young-justice-si.267344/page-51#post-12020578|26-R-b}}

Episode Name

The original names for episodes 1 and 2 were "Independence Day" and "Fireworks" respectively. The name of this episode references multiple things:

  • OL Is dependent on someones good will (In this case Wonder Woman and Green Lantern Alan Scott) and is not independent.
  • OL Is a brit and not a ameracan and would not celebrate "Those rebellious colonies" independence.
