Synopsis

5th July 2011

The SI wakes up in orbit above the Earth with orange power rings on his finger. After unintentionally altering his body with his rings, part 1 he moves to acquire precious metals from the asteroid belt to gain funding. part 2part 3 Then he returns to earth part 4 and buy's a change of clothes.part 5

He then spends multiple hours near the New York public library using his ring to find information on superhumans and divergences from his home Earth. Part 6 During this time he verifies the secret identities of the Justice League and many other prominent superhumans against his memories.

As the sun rises, he call Alan Scott under false pretenses in order to attempt to buy his personal lantern, as he lack an ability to recharge his ring without one. After a brief interview about superheroes in the '40s, the SI reveals himself as a Orange Lantern and attempt to negotiate a price for Alan's personal lantern. Alan calls for Wonder Woman, and a deal is negotiated for the SI to receive the personal lantern in exchange for a year of following Wonder Woman's or one other person's orders, along with clauses that the SI cannot voluntarily leave the solar system, cannot be forced to follow suicidal orders, and can rescind the agreement by returning the personal lantern to Alan Scott.

However in order for the oath to be made, the SI and Wonder Woman must fly to Themyscira in her plane so it can be made in a location of significance, they receive word of a group of Harpies holding a passenger boat hostage before reaching the island. After diffusing the situation, the SI travels to Themyscira and take his oath in a temple of Gaia. The ambient magic causes him to become intoxicated due to his lack of magic resistance from not having a soul (although this is mere speculation at the time).

The Paragon SI then acquires a gun and shooting lessons, starts removing plastic from the oceans, and does flying practice with Wonder Woman. Later, the SI is introduced to the Team, where Batman is declared as the other individual whose orders the SI must follow.

Renegade Divergences

As this is the beginning of the fiction there is little divergence from the paragon version, however you do get to see some minor differences in values and beliefs.

It is currently unknown which renegade options if any are actually cannon.

Episode Name

The original names for episodes 1 and 2 were "Independence Day" and "Fireworks" respectively. The name of this episode references multiple things:

  • OL Is dependent on someones good will (In this case Wonder Woman and Green Lantern Alan Scott) and is not independent.
  • OL Is a brit and not a ameracan and would not celebrate "Those rebellious colonies" independence.
